myHappymind – Commissioning with the NHS & Local Authority

Helping reach as many children as possible!
At myHappymind, our mission is to promote positive mental health and well-being in educational settings. Our NHS and science-backed programmes, implemented in Early Years settings, Primary Schools, and Secondary Schools, are funded through Public Health, Health Inequalities, NHS CYP Mental Health Budgets, Local Authority funding, and MHST funding.
Here’s how the NHS, in particular, support our mission:
Children and Young People’s Mental Health Commissioners across the UK fund myHappymind to foster a positive whole-school approach to mental health and well-being, aiming to prevent mental health issues before they arise. For instance, across Cheshire & Merseyside, myHappymind supports over 60,000 children and their families, and the NHS Integrated Care Board has provided financial investment for Early Years and Schools because myHappymind aligns with NHS Key Priorities:
We’re NHS backed!
We’re very proudly commissioned by the NHS. This means that the NHS pays for 100% of our programme in some schools — all because myHappymind has such a big impact on the children and staff and reduces CAMHS referrals significantly. Get in touch to learn more!

Early investment in mental health education is crucial. By reducing the incidence of mental health disorders early, we significantly lessen the long-term healthcare burden, creating a healthier future generation.
Our programmes target disadvantaged areas, such as IMD1, IMD2, and IMD3 schools. By helping children, staff, and families have positive mental health, we promote health equity and ensure everyone has the tools to thrive.
myHappymind promotes holistic health goals by enhancing physical, mental, and social well-being, perfectly aligning with broader public health objectives.
Investing in mental health prevention saves healthcare costs and boosts productivity. In a recent study in West Yorkshire, we saw a 21 x return on investment in just one year due to reductions in referrals to specialist referrals.
Our comprehensive approach benefits all students, aligning with the NHS Mental Health Support Team’s core functions and preventative goals. This ensures that every student, including those hard to reach, receives the support they need.
By training teachers and staff, we build sustainable mental health practices within schools, ensuring support is available throughout the week, not just during dedicated sessions.
myHappymind has proven to reduce referrals to mental health services by 43%. This allows clinical staff to focus on targeted interventions and individual support, optimising their impact.
Clinical feedback shows that our programmes enhance the effectiveness of interventions. Increased mental health literacy among children, staff, and parents leads to better outcomes overall.
