NEW: Full PSED Coverage

We are pleased to share an exciting new programme enhancement.

From this term, the myHappymind programme has been enhanced, providing the option for full coverage of the Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) framework for Early Years, strengthening our mental literacy and wellbeing programme for Early Years settings.

This enhancement has been shaped directly by feedback from our programme users. Practitioners told us what they needed to support their EYFS provision, and we responded.

Why We Strengthened PSED Coverage in EYFS

Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) plays a central role in early learning. It underpins children’s wellbeing, relationships, engagement and readiness to learn.

As myHappymind has become more widely used in Early Years settings, a consistent message emerged from practitioners and leaders: the need for full alignment with the PSED framework, alongside our core mental literacy and wellbeing programme.

The PSED coverage has been developed to:

  • Strengthen existing EYFS practice
  • Reduce spend on external PSED schemes
  • Support consistent, developmentally appropriate PSED provision
  • Align clearly with statutory framework expectations
  • Provide the same engaging age-appropriate sessions and resources as our core wellbeing and emotional literacy programme

What the Full PSED Coverage Offers:

Alongside our award-winning NHS-endorsed mental literacy and wellbeing programme, this new content strengthens our programme for Early Years settings. Activities are active, varied and age-appropriate, designed to work naturally within everyday practice.

Fully-aligned PSED Activities

That are completely ready-to-deliver in your setting within continuous provision, using level-appropriate activities to support engagement and reduce repetitive learning experiences.

EYFS Digital Storybooks

Alongside the lessons are 7 digital storybooks. These engaging, beautifully illustrated books feature the myHappymind characters and have been written specifically by Early Years experts, using developmentally appropriate language, pacing and visuals.

Storybooks provide a familiar and accessible way for children to explore PSED concepts through shared discussion and reflection.

Designed for Early Years Practice
